Yes, Maserati's from that era can become a nightmare for the owner. Specially if the previuos owner, who says that it needs restoration can't even spell its name.

Not the most reliable car or the best looking italian IMO... I'd take a beemer anyday over this: more reliable, and probably funnier too...

I'm just looking around still ... I ran out of time to shop around before/ lost out on a couple of good bimmer deals so this time I'm taking my time and looking at everything 

The Maserati just intrigued me - I've never seen one around here before so I have to check it out

I just love Biturbos, although I prefer them in coupé form.

I doubt I'd trust somebody thinking the model of the car is "Zagota" 

I almost bought an Mk I Biturbo myself last year, and to be honest, as it is owned by a close friend, I am still considering it. But well, looking at the costs he sustained lately to keep it running, I don't know...

Old Masers are indeed quite a pain, and IMO, impossible to have them as daily drives today.
