Second vid was nice and all: the V8 DTM, the A4 Superturismo, the S1 Pikes Peak... but what about using a proper track instead of a shite amateur parking lot on a sunday morning?! even a kart track would have been more suitable...

Anyway, the S1 was pushing quite hard actually! :)

You must to according big credit to Audi Tradition to have the guts at least to put on the street all of their rare racing models (Auto-Union Grand-Prix cars to Audi R8 Le Mans) from the Audi museum mobile of Ingolstadt every 5 years anniversary. We can't say similar for BMW and Mercedes Motorsport. But, you are right they must be running on a proper racing track like they did in 1999 at Laguna Seca racing raceway for the Monterey Historic Automobile Races Auto Union.  ;)

The pix from Fourtitude can give you a good idea of that day. http://www.fourtitude.com/gallery/gallery2.php?mode=album&album=/Events/Monterey%20Historic%20Automobile%20Races/1999

heyy...those DTM cars are RWD aren't they? no quattro there.. :nutz:

Driving without a diverter valve for the air, just letting it bounce back on the impellers in the turbo combined with an antilag system sure makes for some insane noises

almost sounds like a 2stroke snowmobile on idle

one of the reasons the I5 makes the sound it does, is the firing order...quite different to 4,6,8,10 and 12 cyl engines :)
