looks cool the black beast, hope to see it on RR2009.

You will see it, no question i will be there again next time.
I hope the Belgian delegation will be bigger next year, at least 5 cars should be there imo

Some contrasting shots from today, thought the all blackness of the clio went well with the wee bit of gleaming white snow we had last night.

 :good:

I like the front lip. We removed it from our racer. It's supposed to give some extra top-speed... but it was a pain in the ass everytime we loaded the car on the tow :nutz:

Nice to see the RR08 stickers still on :good:

Definitely menacing and nice contrast indeed! You won't go very far with that low front spoiler in true winter conditions, but I think you rarely have lot of snow in Belgium anyway...

Not much has changed since the last time i posted, there's been done a lot to the car though.
I recently changed all the belts, pulleys and engine mounts for groupN ones.
And i painted the letters on the speedline wheels.

Pics to follow.

Lovely as allways vincent.

Is the splitter in the last few pics the same as the one that was on in the first pics in this thread?  What is it from?

Nope it's an other splitter, the one in te first pics was gash imo so i removed it after about a week.
This one is much better, it's like a megane one but a bit wider so it comes lower to the ground, a bit too low at some times , it's from a new model espace

the clio had it's MOT last week

In order to get it thru, i had to remove my seats, exhaust, H&R coilovers, strut bars, wheels and i had to put water in the xenon washer bottle

At least it's good for another year now

Did you use alternate mountingpoints for the seats? Otherwise you don't have to change them.

The H&R's don't have papers I presume? And why the wheels, if it are 16's it's ok or if the change is within the limit. And I think strut bars are legal, as long as you use the designed mountingpoints.

Nope seats are mounted to the designated subframes, i just took them out because i know they'll start nagging about the way the seatbelt buckles are attached, even though there absolutely rock solid.
The cup wheels were on so i had to change them to 16" again, strut bars and H&R came out as the H&Rs needed a clean after winter, so i thought i'd get the strutbars out aswell, so i didn't have to pay for them at the MOT and got to put some better bolts in the turrets.

Also i tried to get it mot'd with the exhaust on but failed because the zorst didn't had an E-number
They failed to see i didn't have a cat fitted but no E-number was a major problem .
SO i drove home, wrestled 2 hours to get the zorst off, fitted the oe one and it sailed thru, and now on my tuning certificate it says; NON OE EXHAUST FITTED
Which basicly means that they've changed their mind and now my zorst is legal :D :D

MOT is a bitch here...

Last week I sold the polo and also had to get an MOT for it. (if you sell a car it needs the normal MOT, even if it hasn't been a year since the last one and it needs an extra second hand MOT, the total joke costs you about €50... )
And they perform a suspension test, result was uneven distribution of road contact between the rear wheels. They basicly told me to get it fueled up (tank was almost empty), place stock steel wheels and come back. And guess what, suddenly the suspension was ok... Go figure...
With the suspension test a lot of small hatchbacks fail, some even have to put less then 1.5KG's on their tires to pass the test.

took some pics yesterday as the clios were stood next to each other and i was bored
also because i installed a cup spoiler last week

Oh and note the clio is no longer a clio but a Lutécia, true JDM style YO  (clio=lutecia in japan)

and to finish off a panoramic picture of my driveway when the mates are around washing cars, took this a few weeks ago, not that simple without tripod so there are a few distortions

Vincent, when are you going to get the 607 antenne so your car doesn't look like a remote controlled one anymore :p
