Visiting McLaren Technology Centre?

I'm planning on visiting London in a week or so, and I would LOVE to visit the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking. I've been looking around on the internet trying to find some info about it, such as: entrance fee?, private tours required?, must schedule visit in advance?, and things of that sort. The official website doesn't provide much info. I looked on map quest and it's ~30 miles outside of London. Is my only option renting a car to get there? I'm guessing renting a car is not cheap in England...

Good question. By the end of month I'll be visiting a friend who lives 40km from London, in Milton Keynes. Thing is... I'll be 3 days there, but with a friend who actually hates cars. I know that in Milton Keynes there's Reb Bull headquarters... and may be I'll have a look, Woking is too far south sadly, but who knows... Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'll end up doing classic tourism - Oxford, Cambridge, Stratford-Upon-Avon... that's it.

I did some more researching before leaving on my travels and I found out you must either know someone who works there, or be a member of the McLaren club or something like that. The membership is yours for the low, low price of only ~£60! As you can guess, I skipped it.

Did they even open it to the public already?
