I mentioned some weeks ago how I fell in love with the new Audi A4 with a one test drive. Then I moved in Singapore and I was keeping the idea still alive about buying a car while I'm here and then taking it back after I'm finished in here. Well, that issue was solved yesterday when I heard that left hand drive cars are not allowed on Singapore roads
To import a tax free car to Finland, I would have to live abroad at least a year and the car would have to be in use in the other country for at least 6 months before importing to Finland.

That sucks Any idea why they're so strict about this thing? In most countries you just have to pay a larger insurance if you own an opposite hand drive car afaik

This is Singapore. Laws are fair and strict. I'm not sure if anyone questions them.

Well, at least they tell you pretty clearly and fairly that if you do this, you will be punished like this. It's then not like you haven't been warned.
I'm not going to question the laws, I want to play it safe. Hopefully I'll get my A4 when I get home again.

I actually left my PS2 and GT4 at home, because I thought I wouldn't have time here. But, because the GT5 demo is running in about all the electronic stores here, I might consider buying PS3 and GT5 at some point. I'm in no rush though, because I got the PS2 and GT4 pretty much just before they were phased out

I would have to bribe Finnish government to grant me diplomatic rights. Diplomats have the right to drive LHD cars in here.

Where in the world did you get the idea that "Singaporeans" were barbaric?

Singapore is (traditionally) made up of: White Brits, Immigrant Chinese/Taiwanese, Malaysians, and Indians.

They've been a 1st world country (the only one in South Easy Asia) for so long already.
