Very nice car, the Q7 is definitely an eye-catcher! I can only imagine how much that car must cost Norway hahaha

I hope you have and your family have many safe and fun miles in her!  :good:

No offence, but I seriously dislike this car. Whenever I see this car in the city I think it's too big, too vulgar, too daft and ugly.

That said, on those pics, out in the wild, it's actually quite appealing.  :good:

wow a nice Q7 - good looking rims - but didn't you say that there is a huge tax on SUV's in Norway ? How can you stand that ?

well, this beeing one of the family haulers, It wasn't my wallet that forked out for it, and we were lucky, we got it delivered 1month before the additional taxes were put through on jan1 2007. Saved 15.000 euros in tax. The rims are "21 RS4 MKII, part of the S-line exterior pack.

They are taken outside Grimstad earlier this year. Yep, it's Bi-Turbo. One turbo for each cylinder bank  :D

I like the pics. :good: :D The scenery setting is excellent. Those huge rims and low profile tyres look little out of place in that environment

dang....it's been a while since I posted anything here....
Car is running stronger and better than ever. Did 890km's last friday. averaged 79km/h (twisty mountain roads...no highway) and 8,01/100km with 2 persons and heavy load. pretty decent for a car this size. :good:
Milage is up to 98.000km (61.000miles) hauling everything from company guests, boat parts, firewood for the cabin, towing a big boats, or shutteling me and Dr. Lovejoy to Germany to import car parts :)

quiet just before the blizzard hit us in the mountains...

cool pics thomas with the old electrical station and the "new" Q7.

It's a hydro-electric power station, built by my grandfather. He needed so much power for the lifeboat factory they had back in the 60s-70s, that he built his own powerplant. They had power for the factory, all the neighbours in the area got cheap power, and he sold the rest to the public power grid......the gov't owned state power supplier didn't like that people could get cheap power from someone else, and via serious lobbying in the national government, the area was later made into a wildlife reserve, and they pretty much just seized it by force and continiued to run it.....Still runs like a charm today. (gov't is allowed to produce power in wildlife reserves) Serious ghost setting inside...all the old stuff from my grandfather, father and uncles are still inside untouched. (can see it from the hill on the bak of it) Gov't just put in a remote control table and continiued to run it from the main power control offices a few hours away. Shut down by the MAN!

I just don't understand why I missed your cool Q7 topic.  :?

I really like your nice exterior photosession at the Lake, the rims are perfect for this SUV.  :good:

This is very nice all the info you gave about your familly's powerplant.

It's a really cool place where the powerplant is, high mountains and waterfalls and streams with good salmon fishing. Sadly after government "stole it", we are not really allowed on the premises or inside.
