That's awesome Phobo, you found a great deal! :good: At first I thought the colour was not really my cup of tea... but after that pic with the black wheels, so shiny and clean... I think it would rock with some "gold-ish" 16in BBS wheels :) just my 2 cents...

Anyway, can't wait to see the car at the Ring! is it one of the first M3s, with the 195hp engine or a later version? :?

A great car . I really like the colour, it looks a lot like an M3 that is for sale in the Netherlands: http://www.targetweb.nl/shop/article.asp?article=32895

Now you're getting somewhere Freddy! :) Congratulations for an awesome looking car. I love the color and as many said, E30 M3 is about as beautifull as a M3 can get. :good: You're taking it to the Ring this month? I'm sure you will not be the last in line on the autobahn with this.

   WOW! I LOVE E30 M3's! Very nice purchase, she must be a blast to drive. The color is also stunning, and would probably be my second choice, right behind white. Slap on some black BBS LM's and she would be set!

I hope you have many safe and fun miles in her Phobo!

It looks cool with the ACS rims too IMO, you just have to remove that yellow strip on the edge.

My congratulations Phobo
  e30m3 .........

Hope you'll never have problems with S14engine. And hope your pocket will always have some cash for your toy.
cuz It's pain in the ass when somebody broke and you don't have enough cash to buy expensive/rare parts for such a car.

Very very nice buy.
Finally e30m3 in our line.

Maybe someday you'll swap S50/S52 in it :)

PS - BBS RS R18 must be for that car. Don't forget!  :good:

Congrats on the M3. The original M3 is my favorite - it looks cool and handles well. I guess your wheels would look better if they were all black perhaps. But anyway, you got a great and fun driver for little money. :)

Anyway, can't wait to see the car at the Ring! is it one of the first M3s, with the 195hp engine or a later version? :?

Its the 195HP engine so the one with a catalytic converter. Im not quite sure if I have enough time to get it ready and reliable for the ring. First I wanted to pick it up last saturday but the owner said that it did not pass the exhaust test for the MOT so I hopefully can pick it up on this saturday. With 5 days left to insure it and test it for the Rebel Run trip.

The problem for the MOT was it has two racing cat converter and with these it did not pass the test :(

I hope that too but I am expecting some troubles because the s14 engine isnt that famous for its reliability.

The good thing is that the engine is very fresh -> 1000km since it was completly rebuild (everything new except for the pistons)

yesterday I picked up the baby and drove her home after we managed to squeeze all the extras and tires into the e30 touring aka transporter bitch.

I only slept for 4 hours so I was already exhausted when we arrived in tirol. I did a testdrive once again and the seller told me about the things he had to fix to get the MOT.
He had big stress getting all the parts only within 1 week and when they did the exhaust test the heating cooler exploded he told me.

custom shot with the my 318i

In normal cruise modus the m3 is very similar to the 318i only above 3000rpm its a bit different ;).
The big thing that is very strange and unusual for me at the moment is the gearbox.
some of you might know that the first gear is down and not up in the m3.

the touring and the m3 were completly full

With those blue number plates which are used for transporting cars or for cartesting you only allowed to drive within austria.
So on our way home we couldnt take the shorter cut through germany. So we had to drive on B roads for around 2extra hours.

But it was a big fun because all the roads were really nice and good to drive, most of the time one curve after the other up and down all the time.

We only had two smaller problems on our way: One was that all of the sudden the trunk opened itself and the other was that the check control said that the cooling fluid is low. Water and OIl temperature gauge said that the temperate was normal to be 100per cent sure that its only a fault from the check control we wanted to open the bonnet. Which was caused a problem because the lever for the mechanism was not installed - luckily my buddy had a toyota plier in his car (even he didnt know where that came from) Water level was normal so we headed back on the highway.

R8 seems to get very popular we saw two large trucks carrying R8.
