Too hot to live. 32 C during the day. Been cooling off on the balcony for the last few hours - it's almost 2AM and only 20 C now. Fuck... better head off to bed.

It finally cooled down today after last week's heat wave, we had 37-38°C in the afternoon and never under 22 at night

I think it's time to start reporting about the cold weather.
I saw earlier a forecast from some Polish weather people that this coming winter should be the coldest winter in 1000 years in North Europe.
I have to say that at the moment it is looking good to be true. First snow arrived before Father's Day and it is still there on the ground. Today it was -10°C in the morning and next weekend it should hit at least -15°C. Not so common to have these numbers in November.

A tip for you. Put some old rug or blanket on the windshield when you park the car for the night. You can tug it between the doors and A pillars if needed. Then in the morning just take the rug away, put it in the trunk and drive away.

yeah, that's what 2 ladies did this morning on their Pug. I was like "yes, this is the way

but I always buy the spray can of "defroster" which melts the ice pretty quickly. I haven't bought any yet, time to go shopping

the evil demon seed called snow reinforced itself overnight but it's supposed to get to a balmy 40* F today which will hopefully clear this shit out. I don't mind snow, but the warm ground here melts snow on contact and subsequently freezes it. The flakes in turn trigger a panic mode in drivers. Even x-drive, quatrro, 4motion/matic and dsc can't make up for lack of braincells, confidence and experience.

dont get the spray can - go and buy a pump spray. grabbing a metal can is not a good choice without gloves.

^^^^^^I'm jealous of your snow buddy. It's cold here since 3 weeks and no sight of snow.

I built a small snowpark at my parent's place with rails slide, a 16 foot long box and other stuff...the only thing missing is snow!

The rug?

It doens't look very nice but it's very effective. I would use it if I wouldn't have a parking spot under the roof.
