Tripods are actually forbidden by law in the area, including the Place du Casino

Wow. I wonder if they actually had a problem with too many people setting up for photography or is this just stupid bureaucracy?

I couldn't find the original text anymore but I remember they wrote it was to preserve people's (read : rich people in hotels) tranquility. That is BS because flashes popping up everywhere are more disturbing than a guy and a tripod.
Anyway, one thing is sure, you cannot use a tripod for long before the police tells you it's not allowed.

I remember there were quite a few exotics around the Tokyo Tower... I remember I saw a full-black F355, 996 Turbo with Techart parts and a gorgeous Quattroporte. In the Gion district in Kyoto (where the Geyshas) there were also some nice cars... but well, I guess if you're lucky, you can find nice cars everywhere... especially Skylines and RX7 and NSX I think I'll ask my cousin now that she's living there where are the hottest spots in Tokyo when it comes to car hunting

959 You have to be very lucky to spot one on the road, even in Monaco. I've seen 2 in my whole life, one at Spa many years ago and one last year at a classic motor show.
