It's always nice to get a car running the way it should, especially when it's better than when you first got it :good:

I'd be pretty paranoid about that frame once I knew it was damaged like that. I would expect to notice some extra rigidity through tighter corners.

It's been a long time since we've gotten an update...how is the 348 holding together and how was it completing the service?   :)

I agree - I will put together an update on the  'rari and the Bimmer in the last week of December - when I finally get some time off. My work load and associated travel has been excessive this year. I am not getting time to drive the cars. :(

I haven't tracked the car since the frame update but I haven't sensed any difference in handling in regular driving. I am soooo glad that Ferrari put together a beefy frame there :)

That's not good...leave that shit with me and I'll give it some exercise!   ;)

Actually there is nothing to really update this year.

I have been doing a heck a lot of travel this year - have been 80% of the time in LA since June. Obviously this has reduced my usage of the Ferrari - This year I barely put in 1250 miles on the car.  :bad:

On a positive note, my repair and maintenance expenses this year was zilch - all I did was top off the engine oil and brake fluid. After last year's ass kicking my wallet is thanking me this year.

Next year I will get the fluids changed out completely.

The only major expense looming looks to be a clutch job in a year or two - the pedal is engaging high up on the travel.

Sameerrao, in case you are wondering, with only slight modification the Enzo's motor will fit into your 348!

My 5 year anniversary with the car happened in November 2011. I forgot to post then  - so am posting now.

My clutch went bye bye last year - the triple seals would empty all the brake fluid within 2-3 days. So I got a new clutch and got the other fluids replaced and some minor fixes done all for a princely sum of $3000. More than made up for $0 spent the year before.

But the car drives beautifully now!

I am thinking of selling the car now - I just don't drive it enough.

It definitely has no sense to keep it if you don't use it. Why not buying something more usable, like a 964-993 porker?

It is not the usability of the car that is the issue. It is the lack of time to drive it that is the main problem. I am not driving the BMW much either.
