She is definitely a beauty!  :good:

Quick question, are front plates required in Texas?

Yes. Normally most sports car don't have it. There are over-zealous cops near where I live who like to annoy you about front plates. I put mine on to avoid the hassle.

Stunning pictures and car :)

Just one thing I noticed, isn't the prancing horse on the back a bit too ... pranced ?  :?

^^ true but this is because the Cavallino is more respectful of the old school Ferraris than he is of the newer cars. ;) :)

:good: Good pictures. The car looks really good. With the better weather, it must be fun to take the Targa off and go for a drive on some backroads every now and then.

Yep. The only problem is that I find it hard to stow the top behind me - it doesn't fit with the seat extended far enough rearwards to accommodate my long legs. Thus I leave it behind at home and go topless (car and not me ;) - I need to be 100% sure it won't rain to be brave enough to venture like this.

Got a new steering wheel today - this is a Momo wheel used in a Ferrari 360 Challenge racecar.

It fits like a glove in the 348 which has no airbags just like the Challenge car. It is made of some tough wearing suede and is much thicker than the old wheel - great for grip and comfort over long distances.

I think it looks awesome with the red center indicator.

It is a bit smaller in diameter than the original wheel and due to its flat bottom provides a much needed improvement in leg space. I can now brake much easier without banging the wheel as I occasionally used to do so when jumping on the brake pedal.

Thanks guys. The perceived TAU enthusiasm over this mod got to me - I just went down to the garage and fondled the wheel for a few minutes.

Actually the color looks lighter in this picture than in reality - the wheel is close to being flat black or really dark gray. :)

The steering was already the best feature about the 348. I think this makes it approach perfection IMO.

Sentra - Actually, the 360 Challenge wheel comes with a dummy horn switch (the yellow center) - it doesn't come with the pre-attached horn connectors (remember it is race car). But it is easy peasy to re-use the existing horn from the old wheel instead. So no functionality was lost in the change :)

Actually a pretty cool wheel, though I would have thought something like that wont look nice in a 384. Glad I was wrong.
