A few guidelines
« on: 27-Oct-2008, 13:22:05 »
This section is growing, new people are posting, so we think it is time for a few guidelines in this board...

  • You have to post linked thumbnails, no full size pictures. So that even people on a slower connection can view the topics without having to wait a year...
  • Each event/occasion has to be posted in its own topic. No more big topics with all the pictures from one member.
  • It have to be pictures taken by yourself!

By posting different topics, pictures get noticed more and you get more credit for them.
Also, on the portal (front page) the newest topics only get shown, if you post all your pics in the same topic, they won't show up on the portal anymore. And on a side note, if it are separate topics they can be posted more easily on digg, stumbleupon, facebook, ... giving you even more credit for them.

Sure you can post a few bigger highlights, as long as it aren't 20 or so bigger pics...

I understand Smy's, (ZondaC12)'s   global topics -  sometimes they only post 2 or 3 pictures at a time, not worth a topic for it's own.... maybe they keep their topic and call it Smy's random photo topic or similar ?!

Well there's the example of his last 997 Carrera photoshot... even if it's just 8-9 photos... thye're so cool that I think it's better to have them under their own topic rather than "lost" in Smy's ultimate topic

Yeckmohr made a good point and asked me, if I could share the TAU logo I'm using.
well, if anybody likes, here it is in PSD (PhotoShop) format free to use
I think it could be nice to use on the POTW pics :)

this is the logo I'm using now together with the link to my gallery

and here is the Logo I offer you to use (don't download this one, DL link is under the pic):

link to DL the logo: http://rapidshare.com/files/167401805/TAU_Logo_Layers.psd

if the font is needed: http://rapidshare.com/files/167403031/abstract.zip

feel free to add these to the first post

Hey thanks MIHALS for the TAU logos. I was looking for some of those but couldn't find any a while back. Is there is a way to put those files in the gallery for people to download?
