Rally Bettega preview

After shots of the Motor Show, this time I post those of Rally held every year in the event, in conjunction with the exhibition. Overall in memory of a famous Italian pilot Bettega died during a race.
For the first time the cars, some modern WRC and some Group B of the historic Lancia, were presented to the public preview, in one of the main squares of Bologna, out of Bologna Motor-Show Expo.
A great opportunity to see some beautiful cars without having to pay the ticket! 
There was also one of the first Subaru Impreza used by Colin McRae, brought here in his memory. 
There were also present some important pilots as Marko Martin, Dindo Capello and the future of the Italian Rally, the young Campedelli

The Legend Rally in San Marino took place a couple of weeks after McRae's tragic death... but unfortunately, they could not bring any of his cars to the rally to offer him a tribute. Nice to see the blue 555 Impreza in this event

Did Valentino Rossi took part on it? I hear that he was already a classic of this rally...

During the preview to the Bologna's streets wasn't present, however, believe that this year was absent, I am almost sure. In fact he never fails to these events and is also very good pilot! This year he won the Rally of Monza!

This event is one of the things that Id like to do before I die (there are so many things that Id like to do, though) unlike the current format of the Race of Champions

^ count me in to go with you... the Memorial Bettega is something I've always wanted to attend myself the Rally Legend is awesome I can tell you, with dozens of classic rally legends... but this memorial rally looks pretty good with that mix of old group B and new WRC driving together

Also it has other stuff such as the Bologna Motorshow, the formula 1 race on the racetrack from the event (Ive no clue if they continue doing it with some formula 1 cars, formula 3000, touring cars or whatever, but it doesnt matter)

Yes, Bologna Motorshow, every years maintains this formula that has made it famous in Europe 
The only thing is that ticket price is not cheap...
