Yup, paid 10% of it as a deposit this evening.. just came home after an epic trip!

Should be home before the end of January!!!

IMO, this masterpiece, Giugiuaro at his best, is on par with the Stratos as far as design goes. It's like a street legal prototype!!

1977 Lotus Esprit S1... 170 hp, 670 kg... HEAVEN!!!

Well this totally trumps my MR2 :P

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING TT! The condition is so amazing it's like you are buying museum piece. That interior is incredible.. makes me never want to buy a new car. The design is truly something else.

670kg with 170hp.. I sure as hell would not want to push her too hard! ruining such a car would make me hate myself.

WOW :drool: AWESOME!!! She looks beautiful, so clean, so classic... and white! :D I know you're gonna enjoy this one mate, it's a Lotus after all!!

Just one thing, it could be me but I always thought this was an esprit, not an elise ;)

haha can't blame you, if I were in your position I'd be jumping up and down so much I couldn't even reach the computer :P the condition of that car is unbelievable, was it restored? Or never used that much? we need more info TT  :good: :snap:

Yeah, I can't believe it actually!! Too bad it will take some days before she'll be at home!!

Interior was totally rebuilt recently. Amazing work, looks and smell like new. The body doesn't rust as it's basically plastic :) new inox exhaust aswell. Engine looks mint. Single owner, a swiss lady, and 36'000 km from new.

Seriously!! I think you'll have a really, really, really hard time deciding which car to take to the Nürburgring this summer. 964, 912, Esprit... :? :nutz:

I think you should go the Bond way and install some scuba stuff to have Bond's Lotus in The spy who loved me :lol:

An icon dude, you've just bought an icon! :good: Only problem I see is that at this pace, you'll run out of parking space in 2 months :lol:

Yep, this is really something totally different! Sitting low in such a car is damn weird. Pedals pretty offset, very small and close to eachother. Small steering wheel, manly inputs needed (didn't actually drive it yet though). If it will run smoothly, I think it would be cool to go to Monaco GP and the Ring with it, but we'll see :)

As for parking space, actually already too many cars atm... so we should stop and find a solution before going on more rampages :D

Yeh, some 700 built, and really never seen one in such condition. 36'000 km are nothing in 30 years... as for the garage, considering me and dad together:

1. Audi A4 2.8
2. Lancia Fulvia 1.3S
3. Porsche 964 C4
4. Porsche 912
5. Fiat 126
6. BMW Isetta 250
7. Lotus Esprit S1
8. Mazzieri Micron
9. Twike
10. Ducati Monster S4R

We are now considering expanding someway the garage, so we can store them all together (not the case now as I keep two cars and the bike in Mendrisio, the rest in Lugano), and also add to the collection our friend's Biturbo and Silver Shadow (not white sadly ;))

Today we asked for a good price on a white Giulietta Sprint 1600 (coupé) aswell, but was a bit too expensive, so we had to give up for now...

LOL, considering the perfect conditions and the very active vintage Alfa market, IMO it will be gone much quicker, but we'll keep an eye on it obviously!
