The start, with 61 other cars, was pretty intense. It was my brother at the wheel:

Not anymore. Armangue close the doors after 99 years in June. My team-mate (who used to work there) got fired with any compensation of any kind. Fortunately, he got a job (sort of) pretty quick but he decided to sell his part. Now, the car belongs to me and my brother.

If you have a look at the lap-by-lap chart, you'll have an idea of how the race went on:

Even though the race was planned as a two-hour race, there were 2 podium ceremonies: one for the first hour (with their own points and final results) and one for the full distance. In the first hour, we were 4th in class (out of 27 cars) and 6th overall (out of 62). If this isn't our best race ever...

We even lead the race for 2 laps, and the speaker of the track even said my name. After the second (and last) pitstop, with only 20 minutes to go, we were 8th overall and 6th in class... but a bolt in the steering rack split in 2, leaving my brother without steering and having to retire. If we hadn't had that problem, we would've had finished in the top 15 quite easily (overall!). Considering our infrastructure (me and my brother were our own mechanics), that we don't have spare parts or tools... I think it's quite remarkable.

We're quite happy with our pace and performance anyway, even despite the result. May be next year... :)

My mum, who rarely comes to the track, was right next to me in the grandstand - she was scared to death LOL!

Pretty crowded there... It must be very frustrating knowing that the race has begun, but not being able to go full throttle because other cars are blocking you with nowhere to go. When the red Clio spun was exciting. Even behind my computer screen I could barely sit still.

I think you and your brother need to move over here and hire me as a full time pit chief

Your last few videos have been awesome and I hope you guys are getting your bad luck out of the way so you can start cruising through the field :good:

It's quite frustrating, indeed. But well, sometimes it fucks up a very good start, other it helps you in case your start hasn't been as good. :)

Since my brother is racing with me, we're always short of pit crew
