My turn to upgrade my gear
Just got today a new 7D with its battery grip, and I'm gonna keep the trusty 50D, to avoid switching lenses too often.

Nice TT!
I'm curious to see what the new 5D MKIII is going to have.. it just might sway me away from the new Nikon D800, but I doubt it will have matching audio recording capabilities as the Nikon..

Why didn't I buy an SSD way way earlier then now?
My harddisk wasn't slow to begin with, it was a WD Raptor 10k RPM disk. But it started aging, making more and more noise. So after 7 years of duty I retired it and got a 128GB Samsung SSD.
During the windows install I was like "DAMN, that thing is fast". Installed windows 7 from a USB-stick and in about 15minutes I was able to browse the interweb...
If you want to do a hardware upgrade, buy an SSD!

I bought an SSD, it was kingston, with the bad controller
I am FUCKED
Buy SSD's from proven brands and make sure you do your research on the internet before making a buy.

Just done the bench:
Seq: R 230.94MB/s W 193.41MB/s
4K: R 20.21MB/s W 44.09MB/s
4k-64: R 22.89MB/s W 56.20MB/s
AT: R 0.102ms w 0.075ms
I had read the reviews, and well it was between this Samsung disk or the Crucial M4, Samsung won obviously.
