Not buying yet but in process to choose what to buy. I need the car for daily driving, mostly city, short distances. Should be in good condition outside and inside, be pretty powerful so I will not be bored if I wanna have fun sometimes. Have to be straight 6  Should be able to get some customers onboard when needed so coupe is not a good option no matter how much I want it  well if I'd buy M3 I'd give rat's ass-they can go buy bus  not in a position to buy M3 thou

Was thinking of getting m5e34 wich is availble from 5000 to 7500 for a good piece but cant afford/dont want to get a loan that big :whip: Cant afford to buy e39 or e46. E36 sedan is another option, couldnt find one i like or affordable and not rusted, found one gorgeous e36 for a great money but coupe with 4cylinder 1,8is engine :(

There are four options in my mind available now at local market all BMW cause they are R6 and RWD :D
- 1800€ 325i e30 combi/vagon(170ps m20engine)  from the words of the owner top condition, no rust, parked in garage, serviced. City fuel consumption about 11-13l/100km.

- 1800€ 325i e30 combi/vagon(170ps m20engine)  from the words of the owner very good condition, no rust. City fuel consumption about 11-13l/100km. Wheels are not included, i hate them anyway.

- 1800€ 535i e34(211ps m30engine) M5paket-M5E34 looks except for wheels wich is solvable, black leather but not sport seats, from the words of the owner good condition, service book. One big minus is heavy fuel conumption in city 15-18l/100km :( but its the most fun for the least money  LSD costs few bucks

- 3050€ 525i e34(192ps m50engine) the newer engine of the four, owner is a mechanic did alot work on the car. Service book. M5 wheels. Due its having VANOS pretty good fuel consuption 12-14l/100km in city.

Havent seen any of them in flesh yet as they all are on the other sides of czech republic

I'd go for the first or the last, depending on your financial situation...

First: the car looks good in the pics, also the owner took some pics of his car in a nice setting => methinks he really likes the car and took good care of it. The leather interior is also nice, and looks to be in good condition.

Last: car looks to be in really good condition, clean interior is very important if you're gonna bring customers.

About the 2nd car: I'd pay the current owner to get rid of those wheels  :whip: dayem they're ugly!

Does this mean you'll be selling your current car?

the interior pic of first car is not from that car he sent it to me that it looks just like it 8)

current car will be sold for few bucks on parts probably, its in a bad condition already :( wanted to keep it and make it a track rat but now I am not sure if its a good idea, everything should be rebuild/fixed

wow the first touring looks absolutly mint. But trust me a E30 with zero rust is nearly impossible to find.
Weak points that the touring always has is the rear opening + all the other e30 specific rust problems.

I would go for the last car and upgrade it with a leather interior but I dont know how reliable that vanos is I only hear
some nightmare stories from time ot time.

I'd be tempted to go for the 525i. Looks pretty good by the pics and it'd be a good step up. More room and a bit more representative imo.

Do you have the option to have any of these (or furture) cars checked out by an indie BMW expert? It might be worth it to you to spend extra up front for a better running car than to have to spend the money later on over and over again on things that should have been sorted out in the first place?

As those cars are simple mechanics and BMW diagnostic will probably show nothing(my guess) I am willing to get a guy(s) that knows those cars very well, the ones that actually own them and fix them themselves to check them with me.

When I was looking at possible buying m3e36 sedan half of the year ago I took local m3 guru with me and he cheked it with me. The car was absolutely mint, but leasing company didnt approve cause of the cars age. I am glad I dindt get it then as crysis was just starting on czech market.

I see none likes the budget rocket named 535i  the rims are the smallest problem

you are right back doors(on touring) and floor on drivers and passenger sides are the most rotten places on every e30.

Vanos should be fixed on every engine after some km's, if anything goes wrong theres tonns of engines for few bucks to buy :)

new pics of contestant Nr.3 535i M30 aka budget rocket  its not buffed up and cleaned like contestant Nr.4 525i but can be turned into beautie - Mpaket spoilers painted in silver, full m5 interior 550€, LSD 180€, M5 wheels 500-700€. M30 engines as I red are bulletproof according to the owners

I'm really bad in choosing used cars and that's one of the reasons I buy knew ones  I like the last option best. I always think that it's not worth buying the cheapest because it will most likely turn out to be the most expensive. I like the E39 looks! :good:

If you're not afraid of OLD engine!
consumptions etc etc

go for it!

I liked really the full OBC (computer), LSD, Mtech, original BMW stereo

but Engine is so OLD!

I see you really like the 535i, don't you? :)

Personally I'd go for the 325i E30 Touring since it's the coolest of them all... but if you wanna drive customers every now and then... I guess the E34 will give a better impression

What about an E36 320i sedan? I know Matteo and Stradale owned one and they were quite happy with them (I think it's still Roland's daily drive actually) :)

yea I like 535 ALOT  the "problem" of 535 is that noone wants it cause of higher insurance(+100€ to normal insurance a year lol) and higher fuel consumption thats why the car is cheap.

The guy of first e30 who is not in czech now just sent me telephone number of his buddy so i can take a look at the car

Dont know... e34 535 looks like MUCH more car for the money :( dillema dillema

God damn it! Wanted so much to make a nice present for myself for upcoming b-day but I am a bit short on money  As the cars are from induvidual owners deposit is not really a safe option :nutz:
Btw the choice narrowed to 535 I got info on all the cars from different forums and sites and only most of owners of 535 were excited and satisfied with theyr cars :good:

Friday should see first contestatnt e30 and one other 535 with white/biege leather, on Sunday probably will go to see that 535 with M-paket.
