Is it just me or do those pics not quite qualify as high-res?
The driving shot in the previous post is really sweet btw.

He didn't ask for "hi res" he said let's see "the rest."
I do admit I shrunk the pics down too far though...hahah. I looked at it again and thought, "shit, they're so small..." hahaha
The rolling one is cool. I was going about .5-1mph with a big rig hooked up to the car via suctions. I'm trying to get my friend to send me the unphotoshopped picture to show you guys. I think most of the photography guys already know how it's done, but it's really impressive stuff for me as a non-photography guy.
Here are the higher res pics:
Some of the other pictures would have been great, but I didn't have my wheel turned the right way, so they're "off." I have several like this:
It would have been a great shot if the wheel was facing the right direction. I seem to have the better eye for how to arrange the cars, and I was talking to the owner of the white car and my friend shot all these pictures and didn't think to tell me to turn the wheel. After he shot them and showed me the pics, I was like, "crap...why didn't you tell me to turn the wheel?" I thought he was going to shoot my car from the driver's side....hahaha Oh well, next time.

Cool shots. It looks like you had no other light sources other than the light fixtures in that garage?
Very cool area for a car shoot though. Just need a couple wireless strobes to light the dark sides of the car and it would be perfect! Hope you guys give it another go soon.

Nice, thanks Stan, now I can actually see the pics.
Too bad about the wheel turned the wrong way. It's amazing how one little thing and the whole picture can be affected. I'd be interested to see the moving pic pre-PS as well.

The white one isn't Teddy's car is it?

NP Saadie...like anyone can get away with anything around here...hahah "Hi res or STFU!" hahahah
ZfrkS62: No, Teddy's car is that nice gunmetal color...like a steel grey. These were shot on Friday in Sacramento. Teddy's down in Redwood City, in the Bay Area...plus, I don't think he's gotten the car back yet. I was about to write him and ask what the results were with BMW NA.
Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I'm waiting for my friend to send me an unretouched pic of the rigging too...I'll put it up once I get it.

One of the guys actually built it. It's AL tubing cut into about 4 foot sections. Inside the ends are smaller tubing so that it can connect all up. Then, those bolts you see hold it all together. It's held to the car with those big suctions cups you see people use for their videocameras at the track...except it is connect to these clamps. Then end has a camera mount. Next time we go out, I'll take a picture of it...it's pretty impressive. He said it cost him about $300 to make...and would be about $800-$900 to buy.
