I'm no big fan of trucks, but this is downright cool! Especially since you take that baby on some serious off-roading! :good:

how is it you managed to smoke an engine on this thing and top gear couldn't

Didn't the Top Gear Toyota have the diesel?  :? Maybe that's why...

Got some new tires for the truck.  Old tires still had decent tread left for street driving, but not for mudding in the thick stuff.  Towards the end of last season, I was struggling a little more to get up some of the mud hills.  So, I got new tires.  Old tires were 32x11.5x15, new tires are bigger...arrr arrr!  33x12.5x15.

Woo woo!

looking very cool Stan...that would be excellent to have here in the winter to go driving in the snow :)

Thanks.

I gotta' figure out a squishy brake problem.  I changed the brake master and it's still about the same.  I think I have a bad corner.  Going to try changing the OEM 200k + mile brake lines too.

Did it already.  I changed the brake master and it's about the same.  Looking online, perhaps my rear brakes are out of adjustment.  I'm thinking maybe the mud clogged the star wheel or something.  I'll pull the drums off and have a look...can't "go" unless you can stop too....  :?

Another thread in here that I have missed. I've been wanting to buy and 4X4 pick-up also but unfortunately been lacking the budget to do so. Hiluxes are expensive even as second hand from 80's or 90's.
I'm jealous at you. :good:
