1960 Messerschmitt KR200
« on: 12-Jul-2009, 00:19:11 »
The guy that sold me the C1 is a classic cars fan and collector... when we told him we are looking for a KR for my dad, he remembered an ad appeared some weeks ago on an italian mag... he scanned me the page the other day, and so today we went to see the little car, waiting for us just 100 km from St. Moritz where I spent the night for the annual Classic British Cars meeting (amazing as always).

The car was too cute to pass on it... it just need a respray, which will probably be white, and we'll soon discover if the ending works or not. We plan to take it back home next week!

Congrats Matteo, this one is even smaller than the C1, so what will be the next one, a scale model? ;)

Looks great this KR200, you never see them here in Holland but they are funny cars. I hope it's in good shape and you enjoy the car good health!

No comon, it's not cheating if the paint is crappy as pointed out by Mihals ;) and if it's a rare find like this.
Most KR are cabrio, but you can put a fixed transparent plexiglas roof, which we will order ASAP.

Re-spraying the car in the same original colour? Cool.

Re-spraying the car in white so the new car fits better in your collection? Cheating.

:P

Maybe not the Mongol Rally, but we'd like to take part on day in the Liège - Brescia - Liège, a rally conceived for microcars!

Funny car addition Matteo. :)

This car however is definitively too small for North America roads.

I really like the ''Messerschmitt'' aircraft manufacturer name associated with this car.  :good:
