We're still expecting the limited edition BMW M3 GTS to come in at around $150K. For all those greenbacks M buyers will get a more extreme, track-ready M3 sans stereo and A/C with a new body kit and power boosted to 470 HP. More details as we get them.

BMW M3 GTS. Teaser.

This is even better than the CSL... I don't believe the CSL had a roll cage?

GTS is more like a GT3 RS, built for the track, but streetable.

So cool that you get a suit and helmet :)

Definetely this car doens't look as good as the old one.... but this version looks cool, though. Wheels seem pretty cool, but that wing not so much  :roll:

So the rumours were true!! :evil:

The wing looks completely out of place... but who cares?! The CSL is back!! yuhoo!! :cheerleader:

Agreed, it looks kinda odd! But I'm very glad we've got a new CSL!

But where's the gearlever?? Please let there also be an optional manual gearbox :scared:

Here are the rumoured specs again, let's see how many of those turn out to be true when more info comes up:

Quote
Engine | Drivetrain

* Naturally aspirated engine with an increased displacement of 4,400 cc (based on the S65).
* At least 450 hp, likely more. (445 HP)
* No information regarding KERS (KERS will likely debut in the F10 M5)
* 7 speed DCT only, no manual transmission.
* ‘State of the art’ exhaust system, but not Akrapovic.- (ARVIN MERITOR /w/200-cell race cats and 2 resonators)

Chassis | Brakes | Aerodynamics:

* Brembo brakes (6 pistons front – 4 pistons rear) with steel brake discs. (365mm front, 345mm rear SLOTTED DISCS) Ceramic composite brakes optionally available.
* Weight reduction of 100 kg (220 lbs) compared to E92 M3, maybe even more. (due to the removal of the rear seat and the switch to lighter RECARO front race seats)
* Available as a 2 seater. However, rear seats are optionally available.
* Rollbars standard (there’s a delete option).
* Adjustable front splitter. (made of ABS plastic)
* Adjustable mechanical suspension, no EDC. (SACHS)
* 25 mm lower compared to E92 M3
* Same width as the E92 M3.
* Fantastic new wheels. (BBS lightweight cast flow formed MESH)
* New ’state of the art’ seats. (RECARO)

General information

* Nurburgring laptime: 7:40 min
* Not available through BMW dealer network, but directly from BMW Motorsport.
* Street legal (of course).
* Exclusively painted in Inka Orange (a hommage to early BMW race and sports cars). Availability of other colors at a later date.
* The car was tested secretly in France and on a private race track (likely Miramas).
* It will compete with the 911 GT3.
* Limited Production (some report 25 units per year).
* Price: Unknown, but less than the price for an 911 GT3. ($110,000 EUROS)

(NOT AVAILABLE IN THE U.S.A.)

Personally I find the previous M3 E46 CSL more elegant, it looks that they try to copy to much the 997 GT3 RS look...especially with that body orange color, black rims and the rear spoiler.  :roll:

But no question about, this new GTS/CSL seems to be a real racing car.  :drive:

I would take it in a heart beat, but I can't wait for the comparo to the GT3rs and see who wins.

That's a good point, the GTS being closer to the GT3 RS while the old CSL was a bit softer, more like the "regular" GT3. I want to see it in silver... orange doesn't really suit the shape of the M3 IMO :no:

Yeah.. the orange "heritage" color really does seem like a low blow towards Porsche.. but hey, they were all Nazi manufactures using that orange as their racing colors back in the day ;)

Yup, the orange doesn't fit this car at all, makes it look like a GT3 RS wannabe  :bad: They should have used a white body with the blue and red striping ala BMW Motorsport / CSL. And that wing is so out of place too, the orange roll bar is also bad looking...

They should have just went with the old CSL color scheme IMO, like the concept car.

Looks mean. Definitely reminiscent of the latest GT3 RS. Maybe a bit "too vulgar" with the orange paintjob and the huge wing, but if you want something subtle for the streets, just buy the regular M3.

:clap: :clap2: :drool2:
only the A/C and Stereo is NO NO

That's why it doesn't have any!  :)

fucking typical.

That wing looks quite rice!

The old CSL sounds way better...
