Good choice. A very underated car, I looked a couple before settling on the miata (i have had six so I am biased)

Yeah i didn't realise how good they was. I always thought the was a hairdressers car. But there really great and a true drivers car.

Also just letting everyone know I've posted a video of my cars interior. Who is the presenter you ask? why its me! I thought I'd play topgear presenter.

wohooo best reply to my interior question that I could ask for. You deserve now a
warm drink I would say for getting out there in the cold car and shooting the vid.

Very well done I must say. Maybe I should make a video myself about the bmw one day  :?

How tricky is it driving a mid engine car on snowy roads - I can imagine you spin very easy
once the back starts to come out?!

Find the wire to the speaker that does the beeping and cut it or maybe a software change can
delete the signal - I am with you that this is really annoying. Imagine
reversing with the top down then it is like you are driving a lorry.

thanks again for creating the vid the next question is how does it look when driving with the top down ;) *j/k*

Nice little review!!  :D

This car is actually balanced very nicely! the steering input is very precise, counter steering is very easy!
i've never driveen on snow so i wouldnt know that aspect   :D

Phobo- Glad you liked the vid. Like saadie said. The balance and control are awesome. Steering is fast and precise. Its just an elise with more supple suspension and less rigidity. imagine that and your there. Supposidly brakes faster than a mclaren F1, and using slalom and skidpad testing results, it out does the Mclaren F1. Or so I've heard, it it comes anywhere near that claim then obviously its good. But for sure its a underdog, and its ability suprised me. Even in the snow, its fun and so enjoyable. I've had no problem catching and controling the car in the snow. Which is good because IT WILL kick out. If you can drift a car in forza3, you can control this car in the snow. Ive also had to counter steer around a wet corner and it was beautiful. No problems, but in the dry it does'nt let go, or im too scared to reach the limit anyway.

Saadie - Thanks mate happy you liked the vid. I did notice after the video that the window was infact frozen, but also i had locked it when pressing that button.

Arman - Sorry for reving the engine i know it hurts car lovers to see a cold engine rev that high ;) but just to make you feel better it was only them 2 short blips, and its not some thing i do, it was only for the video. Also the car was running a while, that was like my 3rd take but the video editing makes it seem like i only had the engine runng a couple of seconds. Glad you liked the accent hehe but I did have a cold so my voice does actually sound a little diffrent and Im not always sniffing a runny nose lol

Well today the MR2 curse cast its shadow on me. I was having a nice drive and I crashed going in a straight line :bad:

At first I was  :? and thought it just must be the rain which caused the backend to lose grip. I ended up sliding down the road in the wrong lane and then spinning back to my side of the road again then flying off road into a pole which stopped me instantly. I was puzzled and could'nt understand why my car had sudddenly jolted to the right. There was no weight transfer or irregular throttle inputs, the car simply went out of control. I thought I had managed to catch it since it was going to go off the right side of the road, but asoon as I had caught the car the engine swung around and I was hopeless.

Thankfully my dad was following in his Volvo V70 D5 and in his passenger seat was my borther who was recording.

I've ran through the video and noticed that it was a sunken grate that had upset the car. I think it played havok with the LSD when I ran over it. I've found out that I can claim off the council if the grate is deeper than a inch, and it is, so Im hoping to get the council to pay for damages. The MR2 is badly damaged at the back but still drove away. Although it did'nt feel good to drive at all!

Take alook guys and let me know what you think. Please keep the video private since I will be using it for evidence.

Damn dude, glad you're ok. At least the govt pays you for the damage. You should see how it's here and how many holes in the pavement there are...

Well they have'nt paid me yet. But my thinking is that if a pot hole or grate clearly causes a accident then they should pay for it, thats why we pay road tax. So hopefully I should get compensated. Its going to the garage tomoz but I know its a write off :( I just lost a awesome car. I do get to look for a new one though

Good thing is that you're ok. I know no crash is a good crash. Good luck finding a new car, hopefully you'll find a good deal.

ok .. looking at it .. this is what i've gathered.

you lost control because of the pothole, you 'lifted off' and  then countered ?
