So in the other topic some opted for the end of may/beginning of june.
Like it has been for the 2 previous editions...

The weekends posted are the ones that there are no events on the ring (nordschleife).
Porsche Sportscup 22-05-2010 until 23-05-2010 Nürburgring
Int. German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) 28-05-2010 until 30-05-2010 Grand Prix circuit
Rock am Ring 04-06-2010 until 06-06-2010 Grand Prix circuit

i choosed the middle date, i think it's cool to see some bikes there, we can not go on the Rock am Ring weekend, because the Nordschleife will be closed, because most people sleeping around there in the woods. the calendar Touristenfahrten ends actually on april 30th, we have to wait a little bit.

And for the others weekends there are events planned on the ring itself...

I chose both dates, although 29/30 May is not certain for me.

If I have to choose between the two weekends in May, I'd pick 22/23 May. Bike races on the GP circuit attract large crowds of bikers, who will probably go out for a lap on the NS while they're there. I'd say the chance of track closures due to accidents is likely to increase.

sounds also traceable, there will be a bunch of bikers in the woods.

The 3 weekends are fine to me... but if I had to pick just one, that'd be the first.

I would take the weekend 22./23. , but this We is the holiday weekend "Pfingsten", a public holiday which will create additional traffic in germany... also we should book the hotel early.

Biker weekend is a no go IMO, too many bikers which try the Nordschleife and the track is closed all day lonf due to crashes ...

It seems that the track will be avaiable the whole day in both the 22-23 weekend and the 29-30! Cool!

right, there will be all "Krauts" on the streets and the petrol is "uber" expensive. on this 22th mof may is the tuner grandprix in hockenheim

I would highly recommend to avoid going to the ring on "Pfingsten". To alot of people thats the season opener on the ring. And also the Autobahn will be crowded like hell all over germany.

I personally prefer anything as late as possible (late june to july).

looks like all of these dates are not really good

the only other weekend in May would be
Samstag, 08.05.10 17:30 bis 19:30 Uhr Touristenfahrten,

As late as possible would be the last weekend of june. 26th & 27th

In a lot of country's school holidays start the 1st of july. Those last 3 days there will be no more school, so possible that traffic is also busy on that weekend...

About pinkster, that includes the monday. So traffic will possible be busy on fridayevening/saturdaymorning and mondayevening when everybody returns...

Other pro on busy weekend, a lot of cool cars probably.
And for those who want to drive the ring a lot, get up early and be there at 8 am...

I agree we should look for other dates. Pfingsten is not a suitable weekend (22/23). As others have mentioned this is usually a ridiculously busy weekend at the NS.

As it is now, my calendar says every weekend in June is fine except 5/6 June.

5&6 is no option according to yeckmorh with the rock am ring thing.
12/06 there is the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft on the nordschleife
18-20/06 there is ADAC eifelrace on the circuit and the nordschleife...

And earlier in May on the 13th & 14th there is ADAC Zurich 24h race on the nordschleife.

The last weekend of june is maybe also an option. In France, Holland & most regions in Germany they don't start on the 1st of july so no big traffic that weekend. In Belgium they start on the 1st.
