BMW E28 M535i "CSL" conversion
« on: 10-Feb-2010, 15:11:18 »
A couple of weeks ago, I came across this pic in Speed Hunters:

Pretty cool, huh?

Reading some of the comments, I found some more info on this particular E28 CSL. Pretty cool project, this is. It started life as a racing M535i... which is not bad at all to start with. Instead of buying a 3.0 CSL Batmobile, the owners decided to build one themselves, using the E28 as the base car. The result is quite stunning I have to say... although I'd still take the original

Amazing! I've seen a photo of this before, but not the build.

I really like the original 3.0 CSL, even the 3.0 CS is beautiful!

Although I heard the 3.0 CSL had a better drag coefficient going backwards than it did forwards :P
