F1 track designer Hermann Tilke has revealed to AUTOSPORT that Bernie Ecclestone has given him the green light to be more adventurous."I have discussed a lot of things, and a lot of good ideas come from Bernie Ecclestone," said Tilke, whose designs for the new Austin track in the United States were revealed last week."He has a good view on it. Now, we are going much more to the edge than we have some years before - in terms of elevation and the types of corner we have."
Tilke track = me not excited Sorry, but it's just the experience that tells me so: Bahrain, Valencia, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai... Every new track designed by the german, turns into a boring track after the first 2 laps in Formula 1. I would've taken the F1 circus to Long Beach or Laguna Seca (or Manhattan!!) rather than creating a whole new facility. Dani is not excited.
Yep, same I said earlier. The new (Tilke) tracks are no match for the classic tracks!Ive never really followed it but was the old Detroit Grandprix ever interesting as a track?
