Found my kind of bike
« on: 12-Jul-2010, 07:17:57 »
My experience with motorcycles is not verey extensive and I haven't rode many. Last week I finally found my kind of bike. I got to test Honda Varadero 1000. :good: That bike was a bit too big for me but I rode it for about 2 hours and didn't suffer any aching knees. The ride position is perfect for me. :) Now all I need to do is to buy Honda Transalp!

Have you driven a V-Strom 650/1000?? That is the same size compared to the Varadero. The Transalp is rather small, but that's my opinion. (1.92 m) I've got the 650 and it is great to ride.

I love all kinds of bikes, I could buy a high perfromance bike but I don't trust myself on it, and I lover Harley's but Mexico City isn't the best place to own one.

i agree the varadero is not bad, you should test the BMW, they built great bikes since 80 years, i think they are not cheap in Finland.

Latest Beemers have looked very very good, I have to admit. I'd happily have one.

Related to that I've been watching Ewan McGregors Longwayround and Longwaydown. Both trips they did with BMW. I suppose BMW got a good R&D feedback from the trips. On the first trip they broke the chassis on both bikes and on the second trip the shocks broke couple of times. I kinda wish that Ewan and Charlie would hit the road once more. Maybe in South America
