Indeed amazing pictures set.  :good:

It's the favorite model of many dictators around the world...I share with them only their taste for this model or the 600 Pullman

That just shows that the owner uses the car...I like it. Instead of it beein hidden away in a nice garage. I saw a 300SL at the ring that looked the same, with a TomTom stuck in the window :good:

the same way I enjoy more seeing a Ferrari or Lambo with some stone chips....shows the owner really enjoys the car.

Absolutely, I'm all for that! (as you might have noticed)

But it is a bit surprising considering that the rest of the pictures are so clean...

My ideal family car (many years down the road) is a W108 limousine.

Driy, any source for these amazing photos? I would love to make a large print of one to hang up in my apartment. Beautiful art!

Hi everyone!

I'm the owner/photographer of the W108. I'm very glad you all like the photos and the car!

The reason there was so much stuff in the center console, as Stoffie mentioned, is because I drive the car every day. I have been daily driving it since august 2010 and it has hardly given me any trouble! The water pump went out recently but that's the first serious mechanical failure that I've experienced.

You may be interested to read the article that I wrote for Motoring con Brio about the car. LINK

Here are the most recent photos of the W108:

Thanks again everyone!

wow amazing pictures and car. Must be great that you can say my car was build by hand not by robots.
Whats its like as a daily driver in modern traffic?

One thing that I would improve: Getting rid of those fugly floor mats. :D

It does surprisingly well as a daily driver. I can cruise at 50mph very comfortably. The only downer is that it's fairly scary at highway speeds (75mph) so I can't drive it out of town.

As for the floor mats, I kinda like em! They came with the car. The original mats are underneath them should I ever decide to retire them.

Read your blog about it, interesting to see the story behind the purchase :)

Why is it scary at highway speeds ? It shouldn't be, or at least I'm inclined to think that it shouldn't.

In any case a mesmerizingly beautiful and classic car, I wouldn't mind owning.

I get scolded a lot for driving a 1984 classic every day, but hey, isn't that what cars were made for ? To drive and enjoy ? I, at least, like to think so  :good: But most people seem to think they belong in a garage under a dustcover, for that rare sunny sunday afternoon. Weird.
