Million-dollar fine for SLS speedster

If you make a bit of coin in Switzerland and like to have a bit of a fang, it really, really pays to think twice. A 37-year-old Swedish bloke faces a fine of more than a million dollars after being caught doing 290km/h in his black Mercedes Benz SLS AMG yesterday.

And when we say 'caught'... he blasted through two radar traps that were incapable of reading speeds over 200km/h, before the third one got him.

Ouch but seriously what was he thinking??????? If you can afford an SLS you can afford to drive over to Germany

I expected a stupid article about 10000000 fine from that SLS driver but I'm impressed about the detailed information they provide, well done TGjournalist...
it's true the maximum fine could be over a million... it now depends on the income of this guy ....
 
LOL about the speed cameras - the 3rd one was a modern one and able to record...the guy almost escaped to Germany afaik - about 10min from the border he was caught because a police patrol was nearby when the radar went off and was able to "stop" him - bad luck for the driver. 
 
This is the max.speed ever recorded in Switzerland btw, stupid driver to do this on public road (I guess he wasn't alone on the motorway, otherwise it would technically be ok to drive that fast with such a car)

i read it in the news, he should have wait for some hours, getting into germany, there is no speed limit on the autobahn to stuttgart.
someone who is driving a SLS has a little bit of money or he was a testdriver or something, should be bad for him, if it was only a testride and the guy is poor.
