you're probably looking at the last batch of hypercars. I give them another 2 years before obama puts the keibosh on anything fun :bad:
Point it. Punch it.

If your mechanic doesn't have a story about crossing plug wires, he either hasn't been a mechanic for very long, or lies out his ass

These may very well be the last batch of truly great gasoline powered hypercars, but they are by no means the last batch of hyper cars.  As long as the demand is there, someone will find a way to make them. We'll see the current "trend" of electric cars slowly permeate the entire automotive industry as the technology continues to develop and improve. It will truly be a sad day when internal combustion engines become a thing of the past, but I'm betting we'll probably see that come to fruition w/in the next 25-50 years... :bad:

I guess that would mean we're not too far away from this then...

"There has been too much violence. Too much pain. But I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away. Give me your pump, the oil, the gasoline, and the whole compound, and I'll spare your lives. Just walk away and we'll give you a safe passageway in the wastelands. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror. "

The age of internal combustion engines will come to an end not due to lack of fuel, but due to better/more efficient technologies->electric vehicles... No pollution for the environmentalists, plug in convenience, and...instant torque for the rebels :good:

But for me there will never be a replacement for displacement. I pity the generations to come, they may never know the greatness

Maybe the next generations will pity us for depending on fuel so much, having to wait for the engine to rev, waiting for the gearbox to shift down or having to shift down yourself etc etc etc.
Let's see what the future brings to us. It will become interesting when the big manufacturers really start to join the new technologies...
