so... we're looking at the nose of a car that has air exit vents in the nose à la Ferrari F50 / Enzo / Ford GT(40) / heavily modified GT racecars, where the air coming through the grille passes through the radiators and is then released again...
 
so it's definitely mid-engined and it probably won't have the kind of storage space in the nose that the current Murcielago and Gallardo have. So a larger interior space is likely, to still allow for some luggage...

Like I said, I'm fairly sure it's a mid-engined car, so probably not an Estoque / 4-door car. From the very steep downward slope of the red-painted bodywork in the picture, which seems to be sort of cone-shaped with the point towards the nose, I'd even go as far as to guess it has a CF monocoque. Could be completely wrong tho

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I heard that for the trend of ever faster supercars to continue towards 300+mph, these cars will have to become more pointed/cone shaped at the front like gucom said(see reventon). Maybe thats why lamborghini is sating it's the way to the future of supersports cars. If it is a mid-engined carbon monocoque then its headed in the right direction...

That's A LOT of information coming from a teaser pic that could very well be a new Lambo-style carbon-fibre toilette

If it's not the Murcie successor, to be honest, I have no idea what it could be. It doesn't look like the Estoque either.

Anyway, a completely new Lamborghini?! hell yeah! can't wait to see what they're preparing for us!

In recent years this has been changing. Together with design, handling and acceleration are becoming more important. Speed is not as important anymore, because all supersportscars are exceeding 300km/h (186 mph) and this is a speed that you cannot reach even on a racetrack, let alone normal roads. We think it is time to make a shift and talk more about handling and acceleration.

The key factor in terms of better handling and acceleration, meaning more immediate pleasure in driving, is the power-to-weight ratio. This is not so much about top speed and so the future will not be so focused on increasing the power, even because CO2 emissions do play a role for supersportscars too. That means the key is in reducing the weight.

A crucial part of this is to understand how to reduce the weight. From the middle of the Eighties, the average weight of our cars has increased by 500 kg because of active and passive safety, comfort and emissions reduction issues, and this is something that we have to change. Since we cannot reduce safety or comfort in our cars, we have to reduce the weight by using new materials.

The magic word for this is “carbon fiber”. We started working with carbon fiber in Sant’Agata Bolognese over thirty years ago and today, with our two laboratories in Sant’Agata Bolognese and in Seattle, We are mastering a broad range of technologies which put us in a leadership position for low-volume production.

Every new Lamborghini will make the best use of carbon fiber to reduce weight.”
