A little too soon? Who cares?! Good to see the Rebel Run 2011 is ON!! :woohoo:

So far, our idea is to go with my dad's VW Passat towing my brother's 320is (aka Sabine), if we found a gearbox with longer ratios (now the top-speed is around 180 km/h). Lluis, the friend of my brother who also came last year, would also join us with his Opel GT. And then there's Pere, who usually decides about going or not the month before... :)

Visiting Audi-land in Ingolstadt. Now that I see it, it's not far from Munich, so we could also visit the beemer muzeum...

24-to-26 June is my favourite weekend, since the 24th is public holiday here in Spain.

I'd like to be there again after this years absence.
I'd love it if the date is not set to Midsummer weekend 24. - 25.6. Also Team Viking's preliminary schedule sounds very interesting. :good:

As soon as we picked a dat I will try to have a look if I can visit the ring together with Marc. Maybe only on sunday or maybe also the saturday afternoon. It would be a good chance to give the 599 GTO a serious chake down  ;)

Well, once again... here we have the most awaited event of the year for the TAU community: THE REBEL RUN 2011
I thought Boob Day and Ass Day were the most awaited events on the TAU year?

seriously though, I've always wanted to attent, but usually the timing is a b*tch because it always clashes with my exams or thesises (theses?). I'll try to make it in 2011, since it looks like I might just not have any exams in the weeks immediately after the usual date.

599 GTO would be seriously awesome, by the way! :good:

A shit I don't want to be with Christina and the Germania team again. I'm thinking to go alone this time.

Quebec/Deutschland team is back for 2011.  :good:

I will surely return to visit Bayern/Städte for a second time, so a visit to Audi (Ingolstadt) or BMW (München) can be a good option because I will be in the area.  ;)

Can't wait !

Skaala, do you take some special service for your car or why you do it in Germany and not in Norway?

hehe, there are many reasons..
*Quality of the work at the dealers in Germany are much much higher.
*The service is excellent! (norwegian main dealers (any brand of car) are not well known for it good customer service...there are exceptions of course)
*Warranty issues are fixed right away.
*If they need special parts from central warehose in Germany, it only takes a half or one day instead of two weeks.
*The prices range from half to a third of the prices in Norway. (RS2 front discs are €2.500,- in Norway. VAG in Ebersbach did a full service, changed coils, filters, front discs and sparkplugs for €1.100,-)
*They work 4 shifts (24hrs) at Audi Zentrum Flensburg...you can deliver the car in the afternoon and pick it up the next morning.

One example about parts they needed from the central warehose in Ingolstadt....the relay for the air-conditioning broke on the way to Flensburg before the RR. They finished the normal service, but the relay were to arrive at the dealer the next morning, but we needed to get a move on to make the hotel in Nürburg in decent time. AZF found the closest Audi dealer to Nürburg, and had the relay sent there directly from the warehouse. We picked it ut the next morning in Altenahr at 08:30

@Dani,
Yes, it's a bit early, but the sooner we can fix a date, the bigger the chance people have to plan time away from school or work.

haha, I've edited the post now.
I still think you and Schwalbe should come to Norway the week before (very cheap direct flights from New York and Munic to Oslo with SAS!) and then join us to the RR

Unless it would be absolutely impossible for me to attend, I'll be there next year!  :good: And if BJ is clever enough not to plan his holiday on the same date as the RR, as he did do this year, I'm sure he's going to be there too.

I was thinking of doing a trackday at the NS on 12 November, but unfortunately something's come up and I can't go.  I was in the Ring-mood big time, so I'm looking forward to the RR2011 already!

Swiss Team will join for sure ...
I'll check the dates... rumour say that there will be a Supercar meeting in St.Moritz (same weekend as this year, same tour as for the Lambos)

A stop in Ebersbach an der Fils sounds good, maybe I take Friday off and we visit AUDI ...
