Forza Motorsports 4 - Fall 2011
« on: 13-Dec-2010, 22:27:00 »
I had the suspicion they were gonna announce it soon, little time ago a GTO owner said that MS took his car to scan it for a new game and I guessed correctly!

Looks promising. I haven't played much on GT5 (only 5 minutes or so) but I got the feeling that Forza 3 was way more realistic. Actually, it's the only game I have for my XBox360. May be I should buy a PS3+GT5 pack to really enjoy it... :?

I have turned to the Forza darkside, GT3 was the last GT game I played and since then it's been all Forza. I have nothing against GT but the game just doesn't appeal to me anymore, even that I own a PS3 and that I used to be a GT fan.

I'm eagerly waiting and I want to know how they're gonna make the game kinect compatible. Hopefully you'll be able to transfer paints and cars from FM3. I also wish they release a new wheel that's as good as the Fanatec one but more available.

Well seems GT is no longer gonna be the Ultimate Driving Simulator:

Watch the video before Microsoft takes the video down!

I'm looking forward to this one!
Only started playing Forza 3 a few weeks ago...
And I hope they can make a nice combination with the kinect extension.

Drugs, dirty dancing and pounding techno music!

Me wants. And we wants that CF steering wheel too.

I was really looking forward to get a copy of Gran Turismo 5, but I have to say that I haven't missed it while playing at FM3. It seems that Microsoft finally closed the gap with Poliphony to a minimum degree. Hard to say which is better now.

Funny you talk about that Dani.

I finally got a PS3 with GT5 and I must say that for realism sake GT5 is a huge huge letdown for me...

The engine noises are terrible and sound mostly the same, where is the proper car damage you get in FM3? it costs money to paint the car? you cant upgrade brake packages? some stuff you buy cant be reversed? where are all the cool engine swaps you can do in FM3? Im dissapointed.. It does look good, so ill give it that.

The only thing Ive been using the ps3 for is blu-ray movies. I might have to get black ops.

I don't even have a PS3 or 360 so I haven't played either!    I saw some of those ads bmagni posted on tv and was pretty damn impressed. I did play GT5 prologue on a friend's PS3 and while it's a lot of fun I agree with spanky... I used to be a huge, huuuuge GT fan, but after all the waiting and waiting I guess I still like GT, but not enough to buy GT5+PS3.  I definitely want to play Forza, especially if it's got a good physics engine.

So how is it spanky?

I like it. The physics engine is awesome, damage and driving experience is way more realistic than gt5 imho, you can upgrade brakes, change engines etc, which you cant with gt5. I think its more of an evolution than a brand new experience.
In saying that, there are some good new ideas that help the game flow along make it more fun like you can now buy drag slicks just for 1/4mile races in the game, or make your own online car club and share cars and other cool little things like that) and Im glad I paid for it.

So... the question is: is it really worth it if you already have the FM3? :?

Yep i'd definitely buy it if you have FM3. Lots of little changes. Plus it's not that expensive this time around. Well in Oz anyway. Only $60. Normally $100ish.
