I wish I could help, but I started my iTunes library from nothing when I bought my MacBook. Later I got myself a Mac and again, I didn't try to sync anything with it. My iPhone is synched only with my MacBook.  :?

If you wrote it on Windows, then yes, perfectly legible.

Yay, first complete day using my mac and first serious problem comes up. I have an external HD where I have all my stuff, I need to write on the disk but because it is an NTFS formatted disk I cannot write, I can only read. Suggestions? ("return your mac" or anything related to that is not considered a plausible suggestion  )

I've already done some research and the solution seems to be buying a NTFS driver for mac, but I don't want to do so.

What's a NTFS driver? I've never had any problem with an external HD if that's what it is. :?

NTFS is the file system used by Windows, if you only used the external hdd with the mac, then it's normal that you don't have this issue; bm formatted the drive as NTFS, was using it with his Windows PC and now he can only read from it, when on the Mac.

I downloaded the trial NTFS driver for 10 days and it works perfect. For U$20 seems a good price and I'll buy it.

Some information so all anti-mac guys can have a laugh; my sister bought one too and first I configured mine to learn a bit to use it and if I screwed up on something it wouldn't be on my sis' computer. So today I was gonna start configuring hers and the thing didn't turn on, I'll be on my way to change it for a new one
