My christmas gift this year came on the 22nd, driving across Switzerland ..... and the present was:

70km of almost empty, snow covered roads in the middle of the Swiss Alps.

nothing more to add...

Leaving Zürich area in the rain, soon the Autobahn was getting covered in wet snow, scary ...

later on the road Thusis towards Julierpass, the roads looked like this  :snap:

on the pass, Sally and I had much fun going sideways ....

finally, we arrived in the Engadin

(usually I don't have the spoiler is this poser position ... but this time I wanted every kg of downforce)

on special request, a 1920 version

really cool! I'm happy for Sally that her owner lets her play outside in the snow rather than sit inside all winter boring herself to death :good:

Well done! Sadly this year I only covered a few km on snow so far with the RS4, but like you, I usually enjoy every meter!

LOL at the huge amount of snow on the air intakes!

Being from Oz and only driving in light snow, how long does it take before the ice and snow melts on the car?

^depends on the temperature (of the carm the snow, the garage....) then the amount of snow ... cannot really give an answer

this snow was partially loaded at Signal parking   where we had at least 10-15cm of fresh snow - snowplow function needed

are you/will you be in St.M? - it's snowing since two days....

btw, did you ever drove to Bivio... just to buy a bread and come back to StM?

LOL, in fact I often did Julier or Maloja early morning or late at night when snowing, just for the sake of it ;-)

As for me being in St. M, probably not. At the mom the appartment is used by my younger bro, which got his license some days ago, so he deserved to use it on proper roads ASAP ;-)

The 6th being holyday here, maybe we'll come for a couple of days then, but still not sure...

Riding those snowroads seem tons of fun.  :good:

It's funny how the snow can create a temporary bodykit on your C4S.

She looks like she's been enjoying the ride a lot :good: I'm sure it was a pleasure to drive there! :)

I tried to have some of the same fun day before yesterday in here but we never get that amount of snow in here.
