Hello guys, and yes I have info one this.... :nerd:

The Audi RS2 was never officially imported to the US, it didnt pass emission restrictions as far as I know in addition avants are not that big of a deal in the US so Audi America didnt bother to try and get it in either, and because of this it didnt go to Canada either.

Audi at the the time (94) was not considered a upperclass car and the price tag of the RS2 would not make it sell there as it had a upper class price, people could buy a Porsche 911 for less probably...

However there have been imported at least two RS2`s to the US that I am aware of and probably alot I dont know about, apparantly its possible to get them road legal but its not a slam dunk wich makes them very rare and costly there....

Its not until the recent RS4 the RS cars from Audi have been officially imported to the US....I dont think the RS6 was imported either....

Nice pics skaala, I really like the interior....  :good:  same as mine...

The black ones very often had the black nappa leather and not the alcantara interior like yours..

You asked me once about how I found out what production number mine was, and I dont know how to find it, but your are also of the early ones off the production line the door sides of the interior was changed sometime in during the 94 production and yours got the same as mine wich is also a early bird....

actually Audi brought plenty of RS6s to the US.  i might actually pick one up in a few years.  My friend bought one, but recently sold it to order an R8.

We did get the RS6 Sedan, no RS Avants for us. We actually got the RS6 before we got the RS4 IIRC.

if i had the money to get an rs6, i would go through the trouble of importing an avant. just so much cooler and rarer. ive heard that we are not going to get the latest rs6 though with the biturbo v10 is this true?

I wouldnt doubt it, usa sure enjoys watering down models to let them in here, so sad!!

It's confusing, it's the same with the Mercs - ou had many years no C-Wagon or E-Wagon, now you got it, maybe there is no market in the US for wagons, only for big SUV's and trucks.

The change in door liners was to accomodate a passenger airbag and redesign og hte glovebox wasn't it? btw, do you have the 3-spoke airbagwheel, 3-spoke sport wheel, or the 4-spoke bus-airbagwheel as I got?

Whats the problem?

Rip out the old put in the new one and go....you might loose the return on the blinkers, but thats it and you easily make a new nob to make the blinker arm to go off again if it bothers you....

And yes I have the airbag one...

This is where I'm now also on this C6 RS6 issue. It's kinda strange because when the new RS6 was launched at the 2007 IAA Motorshow, those Audi spokemans where clear and said that we would not have it in North America. But now some rumours talk about a possible 2009 Audi C6 RS6 sedan that is expected to go on sale in North America in the fall of 2008. We will see if it's true.  ;)

:edu:

About the main topic, hey Skaala, I benefit from the occasion to still congratulate you for your awesome RS2 and to repeat you again the chance that you have to own the great Audi & Porsche RS from the quattro GmbH factory. All has started with this RS2 it's the Pioneer Audi RS for all die hard Audi fan like us. Keep it man as lonng as you can, because the RS2 will be always a grand classic like the famous Sport quattro.  :good:

That's awesome!! you cannot import one... then build it yourself  not sure if he needs to pass a technical inspection in the US before he can drive the thing on the road... here in Spain it works like that, so what's he gonna say? it's an Audi 80 with some minor mods?
