« on: 15-Dec-2007, 01:37:03 »
Well seen as its the start of a new forum i figured id get some pics up,never felt the need to post vids on the old JW or new pics seen as in peoples eyes like RC45 coz it wasnt a V8 and 1 million hp,it wasnt good enough.but with the guys who matter from the old JW,i figured id post them  :D  anyway bit of info as it is right now......

2001 Ford Fiesta Zetec S
1.6 litre 16v zetec SE engine
110hp,not much but the cars weight being 976kg,makes for some fun :good:
5 speed Manual
Imperial Blue
Pipercross induction kit
Milltek sport exhaust system
Ford Racing KA alloys with 195/45/15 yokohama A539 tyres (not good in the wet,lol )

not sure what else to say about it really,i love the car and for what it is its a whole lot better than what you would think.heres the pics and a couple vids, some are with the new rims, some are with the stock rims.

I think the car looks great Danny, and glad you want to share it with us...

It sounds good with that miltek exhaust, and the new rims really sets it off....good job Danny subtle and not in your face, but still it has something to it.... :good:

Blink you bein serious? lol i guess it is nippy for its low power and small engine.straight line speed isnt my fav thing in this car.if anyone has driven one and felt the handling and the gearbox will know this car is fantastic in the twistys.ive surprised a couple cars, some a LOT bigger than my car in terms of speed but the corners i shocked them.but i wont go on about that as its only beleivable with video evidence, which i dont have, lol

anyway if you wanted see acceleration, heres one i did during the summer

I had the same feeling some time when I posted stuff of the R5 GT Turbo - people like RC will never understand how these car can be as fun as any other sports car

Wow, sounds pretty nice for such a small engine. Does it weigh that little in stock form or have you stripped it out?

Brings back nice memories from my previous car, Ford Escort STW GT. It had a 1.8 liter zetec and also a green speedo. I liked the car a lot and the engine even a bit more.
I'd love that something like your as a second car for the family. Fiesta ST or similar.

Yea mate its that light in stock form.thats with air con and everything.my cousin had the same car as me for a few months, had same air filter, didnt have air con and he stripped the car out, everything apart from the dash board and 2 front seats, that made a HUGE difference in performance.got a vid of him racing my cousins mazda MX3 V6 which was a surprising result.

if you enjoyed your escort, one of these will make you smile even more if you tackle some nice twisty roads.fiesta ST is even better, but if your budget cant go to a fiesta ST,one of these will do the trick beleive me.ive had the pleasure of being in an ST,courtesy of fellow rebel daggernite.i was impressed with it for sure,as i think he was impressed with my fiesta ZS.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think no Fiesta S has been in Ford's import program in here. Well, lots of things are now waiting for the expatriate Singapore decision and if we are going there things will be changed and postponed.

Cool little car, especially like the wheels! I do not think they sell this one here in the states which sux because i think it would be perfect to build into a Rally car for the front wheel drive class. Very light and agile. It sux that we dont  get this stuff here in the states, i mean it is a Ford for chrissakes :banghead: Like you say, I guess the perception is that we are all like RC and want big fat SUV's or leaf-springed V-8's, not true! What is fun, is kicking ass on rednecks with big HP using a small car or a small motorbike in the twisty stuff where HP is less of an issue. I love to smoke GSXR1000's in the tight stuff with my little SV650! It just blows their minds!
Sweet ride mate! :good:

haha yea it is a dam fun car,not right now though as the tyres are ultimate shite  was out tonight and i could not get traction at all, starting to get icy,but was only just starting so wasnt full on icy roads, but since when does a 110hp car wheelspin up a hill in 1st,2nd and 3rd gear.and i only stopped coz i let off the throttle.lol

good tyres i would have got grip in 2nd gear, the tyres SUCK.also the rims do look great, especially at night, but i think its affected the cars handling for sure, they are 15's same as the stock rims, but are heavier and i think its upset the cars balance

I love the ZS. Definatly a underdog I think, on the country roads in yorkshire its these lil lightweight handlers that rule. The ZS and ST are definatly brothers. Honoured to have been in Danny's ZS, lightweight is great. :D

Definitely a funny little car! Do you think you'll try to attend the "Euro run"?
