Tamiya Honda RA272

Tamiya's Honda RA272

This is a model of Honda's 1965 F1 car, equipped with a transverse 1.5L V12 making around 220hp and the first Japanese F1 car to win a GP. I'm a big fan of the 1960s F1 cars, I think they look fantastic...no sponsor decals, no wings, no side-pods, just pure racing design.

With Ferrari F189

With McLaren-Honda MP4/4

Some work-in-progress shots
Almost done:

Sans decals:

Hope you enjoyed the pics!
And the real one, at the Honda Collection Hall in Motegi, Japan  8)

There's an article in the latest Road & Track where Dario Franchitti drives the RA272. He mentions it's hands down the best sounding car he's ever driver or heard.

Dang, I have that issue but it's been sitting in my bag for a week and I haven't read it yet, sounds like I need to.  :nutz:
