That's one very cool sighting! As far as I know, that a Corvette C2 Stingray... but that really looks as a racing version or something, love the wheels and the old-style tyres... and I bet the sound was something else! :good:

some special edition or maybe a pacecar from early nascar racing season ? or some pacecar from Road America ?
We should ask PaulGT, he should know what this stingray version is ? or it's a normal race car like dani said !

That's a nice car!  Love the "racing" look apart from all the decals! Must have sounded great too!

Looks like a Chevy Corvette Grand Sport... very very rare car; since there were only 5 cars built... I doubt that's a real one, may be a race conversion or a replica. It's one of the rarest and most values Corvettes of alltime actually

the license plate number just gives me the name of the guy, not the car. actually I know where the car should be stored and could go there to check.

Checking the license plate page ...

That's beautiful!  I love the classic sponsor decals, and the huge side pipes and the classic wheels...what did it sound like?

Awesome catch stmoritzer, and to see that car in Europe super cool!

p.s. it looks very cold out and slick on that road, I bet he was being quite careful.  :)
