French Quarter Classic 2007
« on: December 30, 2007, 10:10:28 pm »
Well I'm finally getting around to posting these pics, which I've had for a while now. 2007 French Quarter Classic in New Orleans. The turnout this year was on the small side (mostly because of the hurricane, even 2 years later :() and I only made it to one day this year, but I did take a bunch of pics! Since I missed the track-day, I also missed out on an appearance by Ferrari test-driver Dario Benuzzi and a 707hp Novitec F430, darn!

Enjoy:

Same here, it's something to do with the new mod Thamar put on I suspect. :(

Look like great pics from the thumbs though... :P

^ yup, same here.

I guess Thamar is working on it, since it worked fine just a couple of hours ago :?

Anyway, that F40 on black wheels looks awesome!! I wasn't really a fan of that combination, but since I bought the Kyosho 1:12 F40 Prototype version with black wheels, and see it everytime I wake up... I could say I've learnt to love it

Now I'm just getting thumbnails too, but I'm sure Thamar will have it worked out pretty soon.

I'm a big fan of that F40 with black wheels, it looks badass, and has in the region of 600hp.

Finally got the chance to see the pics. Amazing. Doesn't looks like a bad turnout to me either.

Thanks for the compliments!  :D :)  :good:

Oh definitely not a bad year when you get to see several Enzos, an MC12, a CGT and 50+ Ferraris.  I don't know anything about that 512M Spider. Anyone know about those? :?

Damn dude, come next year!  :good: I almost didn't make it down because I had to be in Atlanta, but at the last minute I was able to come down, so I was almost in the same boat as you. You'll be even more pissed to know that there was a mother fucking McLaren F1 at the Concourse porition of FQC!

Here are a couple of pics from the official FQC photographers:
Fuck @##$% I can't believe I missed seeing an F1! Btw, it apparently lives in Southern Louisiana! Who the fuck would have thought of all cars, a McLaren F1, would live in Louisiana!

Dario Benuzzi at the wheel, too bad I missed this too!

Also, a link to more really awesome pics by the same guys:

Cool pics Sentra. Good to know there is a F1 prowling near you. I wonder if the owner of the F1 is the same guy who has the black F50 and  1961 TR that was auctioned off recently.

I heard a rumor that next year's event is cancelled. Pity about that. I wish I could have been there this year but the entrance fees are way too steep for my likes!
